Position Details:
- Contract duration of 12 months with potential for extension

Role Summary:
- Under close supervision, acquire and apply fundamental skills in the fabrication of aircraft cabinets and wood-surfaced subassemblies based on design and engineering specifications.
- Develop entry-level technical skills, understand regulatory standards, and become familiar with the tools utilized in aircraft cabinet making.
- Enhance technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to advance to technician roles.
- Adhere to safety protocols, utilize design drawings, and employ tools to gain proficiency in furniture preparation and fabrication.
- Use the material tracking system to generate parts requests, monitor issues, and confirm completion of tasks.
- Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping guidelines, ensuring the protection of aircraft interiors.
- Assist in the development and execution of related initiatives.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Experience in woodworking, finishing, auto body work, and painting in a technical setting is preferred.
- A Technical Certificate in cabinet making or completion of a youth apprenticeship program in this field is advantageous.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required.
- Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and be flexible with shift assignments.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
