Job Summary
The Yuba County Board of Education Financing Corporation seeks a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role involves working with students who require assistance with daily living skills and may need support with toileting and self-help skills.
The classroom utilizes a variety of curriculum, including Unique, and employs positive behavior intervention strategies such as visual supports, sensory strategies, and positive reinforcement to teach independent life skills and functional academics.
This position requires the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, collaboration with service providers, and supervision of paraeducators in the program.
Requirements / Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a valid California Special Education Moderate/Severe Credential and a strong background in teaching students with moderate to severe special needs.
Applicants must also be able to develop and implement effective IEPs, work collaboratively with service providers, and provide supervision and support to paraeducators.
