Job Summary

PVT Networks is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our team. As an Engineering Technician I, you will play a critical role in supporting the construction and maintenance of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Design new telecommunications facilities, including staking in the field with GPS technology and creating staking sheets using computer mapping systems.
  • Procurement and Permitting: Research and locate parties for easement procurement, as well as interact with government agencies and private landowners to obtain necessary permits and easements.
  • Project Management: Ensure that all projects are completed in compliance with permits and easements, and that all work is done in accordance with RUS standards and specifications.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct inspections to verify that projects are being built to specifications, and that all work is done in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training activities conducted in the Plant Engineering Department, and maintain and update records and documentation as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, and work closely with other departments to ensure that all customer needs are met.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and an associate's degree or higher in engineering, telecommunications, technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Must have a valid New Mexico state driver's license, and be insurable under the company's insurance policy.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; good writing skills; and basic knowledge of land descriptions and Geographic Information System (GIS) is recommended.

The normal working conditions are quiet in the office environment and may be moderate to loud in outside conditions.
