We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Aide to join our team at Access Physical Therapy & Wellness. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists and physical therapy assistants in providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms for patients, ensuring a clean and safe environment for treatment.
- Understand the uses of various equipment, including stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes, rebounder, weight equipment, mobilization tables, and benches, as well as progressive resistive exercises designed by physical therapists.
- Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin baths, and hot packs for patient use.
- Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patient bodies before and after treatment.
- Assist physical therapy assistants and/or physical therapists in supporting patients during ambulation and gait training.
- Communicate effectively with patients, clients, the public, and all members of the healthcare team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Competitive hourly rate of $16.00.
