Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Liberty Administrative Services, LLC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our adult/geriatric ESRD patient population.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patient charts in advance and on the day of appointments, ensuring accurate records and verifying appointment details.
  • Greet, receive, and room patients for appointments and procedures, conducting interviews, taking vital signs, and recording information.
  • Administer injections, including flu, pneumonia, and Hepatitis B vaccines, as required.
  • Maintain nursing stations and examination areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Stock patient rooms and supply orders, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Check voice messages, screen and return telephone calls, and sort faxes in a timely manner.
  • Scan documents into patient charts.
  • Schedule radiology and lab appointments, biopsies, IV infusions, and referral appointments.
  • Obtain authorization for prescriptions and procedures.
  • Document all phone calls and data for patient visits, including rooming and vaccinations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Strong charting and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
