We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Liberty Administrative Services, LLC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our adult/geriatric ESRD patient population.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patient charts in advance and on the day of appointments, ensuring accurate records and verifying appointment details.
- Greet, receive, and room patients for appointments and procedures, conducting interviews, taking vital signs, and recording information.
- Administer injections, including flu, pneumonia, and Hepatitis B vaccines, as required.
- Maintain nursing stations and examination areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Stock patient rooms and supply orders, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Check voice messages, screen and return telephone calls, and sort faxes in a timely manner.
- Scan documents into patient charts.
- Schedule radiology and lab appointments, biopsies, IV infusions, and referral appointments.
- Obtain authorization for prescriptions and procedures.
- Document all phone calls and data for patient visits, including rooming and vaccinations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment.
- Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Strong charting and documentation skills.
