Position: .Net Backend Engineer

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 6+ months

Position Summary:

VDart Inc is seeking a skilled .Net backend engineer to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge optimization tool for biogas management.

The POM application evaluates various supply and demand inputs to determine the most efficient distribution of biogas, adhering to specific contractual and physical parameters. This application is pivotal in managing a substantial volume of biogas agreements and is designed for both technical and non-technical users. The system comprises a frontend, backend, and a model execution service (MES), with this role primarily concentrating on backend development. A robust understanding of .Net/C# and database technologies is essential, while familiarity with serialization protocols and cloud solutions will be advantageous.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assume full ownership of the development and testing of various backend modules, ensuring accountability and thoroughness.
  • Collaborate with fellow developers, business analysts, and quality assurance professionals as part of the broader POM team.
  • Engage in the analysis, design, and development of business processes and interfaces related to the POM application.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing server-side .Net/C# applications is required.
  • Strong knowledge of C# standards, generic interfaces, and functional programming with LINQ is essential.
  • Experience with multithreaded, high-availability microservices utilizing SQL and No-SQL databases is crucial.
  • A solid commitment to automated testing and continuous integration/deployment practices is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills are imperative.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with protobuf and gRPC is a plus.
  • Background in finance, operations research, or grid computing is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Redis is beneficial.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and related tools.
  • Experience working with remote teams and business partners.
