  • Act as Floor Manager during peak times, offering expert consultations on fit and alterations.
  • Support stylists in finalizing sales by advising customers on gown fitting and customization options, emphasizing the significance of alterations in achieving the perfect look for their special occasion.
  • Lead and supervise all aspects of alterations, including fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning, adhering to company quality standards.
  • Implement quality control measures, inspecting all altered garments to ensure they meet pristine condition before delivery.
  • Provide training to Alterations Specialists on fitting and sewing techniques to enhance team skills.
  • Facilitate ongoing product knowledge training for all members of the Alterations team.
  • Communicate daily sales achievements to the Store Manager.
  • Utilize approved systems and processes to manage customer flow, ensuring a 5-Star Customer Experience.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance in accordance with the dress code.

Physical Requirements:

  • This role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, as well as reaching for tools and objects. The employee may need to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must effectively communicate with customers. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds is required.
  • Vision requirements include the ability to see up close and at a distance, as well as peripheral vision and depth perception, with the capability to use computers and other electronic devices for prolonged periods.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior sewing experience is essential, ideally in a bridal or special occasion production setting.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with computerized POS systems is required.
