Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Aleron. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high power AC-DC and DC-DC power converters and power sub-systems for various applications, including radar, directed energy, and military electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high power AC-DC and DC-DC power converters and power sub-systems
  • Analyze and optimize power converter performance
  • Develop and implement digital signal processor (DSP) code for power converter control
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer specifications and company requirements
  • Perform functional, acceptance, qualification, or development testing on new or modified designs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power conversion product design and manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, digital design, and analog circuit design
  • Experience with design of bi-directional power converters using digital design/code development for digital signal processor
  • Experience with designing products for harsh environments such as military applications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Many years of power electronics experience
  • Master's or PhD in power electronics technologies
  • High power and vehicle electrification experience
