Certified Medication Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medication Assistant to join our team at Brookdale Rome. As a Medication Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, following state regulations and guidelines.
- Provide direct care to residents, following individualized service plans and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Document resident records, including medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations.
- Assist with medication cart audits and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the medicine supply room.
- Provide support to residents with daily living activities and promote their overall health and well-being.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant completion and licensure preferred.
- State certified medication aide course required; experience in direct service with older adults preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English and understand and follow written and oral instructions.
