Pharmacy Operations Supervisor

As a key leader in our pharmacy operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing pharmacy and DMEPOS functions to ensure cost control, maintain profit margins, achieve sales targets, and foster a positive experience for patients and a supportive environment for staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement departmental strategies in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Analyze and review business plans, reports, and service scopes to drive sustainable growth and financial health.
  • Monitor pharmacy performance metrics to ensure ongoing success and stability.
  • Uphold pharmacy standards to enhance facility relationships, reflected in high retention rates.
  • Manage all facets of the sales process and provide comprehensive training on medication dispensing systems to facility staff.
  • Establish and oversee an effective inventory management system.
  • Adjust merchandising strategies based on inventory control insights.
  • Closely track returns and expiration dates.
  • Conduct competitive pricing assessments.
  • Adjust pricing strategies based on monthly margin evaluations.
  • Optimize purchasing and ordering processes for effective inventory management and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise billing processes for resident and facility accounts.
  • Formulate and refine growth and development plans, adjusting quarterly as necessary.
  • Continuously evaluate department scheduling to meet facility needs and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor and manage overtime effectively.
  • Ensure that department organization, discipline, and morale align with pharmacy standards.
  • Review departmental expenses and implement changes to enhance cash flow management.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide and oversee safety training initiatives.
  • Review safety reports and implement improvements to enhance safety performance.
  • Direct or execute all personnel functions in accordance with company policies.
  • Facilitate opportunities for staff development and career advancement.
  • Exemplify integrity, professionalism, and ethical business practices, setting a standard for all team members.

Qualifications:

  • A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively.
  • Must be a licensed pharmacist in good standing with current state licensure.
  • Present a professional demeanor.
  • Exhibit courtesy towards patients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in pharmacy-related software and other necessary programs for efficient pharmacy management.
