POSITION OVERVIEW:
To safely and efficiently manufacture and assemble high-quality windows and/or sliding glass doors along with various components while adhering to established quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively and engage actively within a goal-oriented team environment.
- Interpret production orders for specifications such as material type, size, and color.
- Operate a chop saw to cut materials to specified lengths.
- Utilize industrial fabrication equipment to process materials (e.g., saws, punches, drills, routers).
- Employ pneumatic hand tools in the fabrication and assembly processes.
- Assemble and install insulated glass panels into frames.
- Attach and install hardware components.
- Inspect work-in-progress and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Package and prepare completed units for shipment.
- Engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and understand basic work instructions, standard procedures, and production orders.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Proficiency in reading a tape measure to an increment of 1/16 inch.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to stand and move frequently while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
- Possess a collaborative, team-oriented mindset; good attendance and teamwork are essential.
- Quality and precision-driven, adhering to all quality and safety standards.
- Customer service-oriented with a strong commitment to meeting production goals.
- Strong reasoning and creative problem-solving skills to address production challenges.
- Previous experience in a team assembly environment is advantageous.
