Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Mercy. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a critical role in preparing the operating room for surgery and providing technical support to our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Provide technical support to the surgical team, including setting up and maintaining equipment, and assisting with patient care.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • 1 year experience as a scrub tech.
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association for Health Care Providers.
  • Competent to provide services to age-specific patient populations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post high school/vocational education.
  • Preferred experience as a surgical scrub tech.
  • Preferred certifications, including Certification as a surgical scrub tech.
