JOB SUMMARY:

The Value Stream Leader is responsible for overseeing team members throughout the aircraft completion process. This role includes planning, organizing, and managing manpower costs while ensuring the continuity of production flow in accordance with established schedules. Additionally, the leader is tasked with maintaining and enhancing quality, safety, efficiency, and the training of team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises and allocates team members to production tasks based on schedules, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensures safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met consistently.
  • Engages in daily discussions with team members regarding workmanship, operational efficiencies, and safe working conditions, while also identifying ergonomic improvements.
  • Implements lean manufacturing principles and coordinates all Area Team Development initiatives for the designated area.
  • Conducts weekly team meetings to relay important information and address program resolutions.
  • Assists the Value Stream Manager in monitoring daily production operations through ongoing efficiency assessments, aircraft production metrics, and budget evaluations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience and/or relevant supervisory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in team-oriented environments.
  • Experience with Area Team Development processes and SAP is preferred.
