Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Sam's Club. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, including counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medication tablets, liquids, and creams.
  • Operate scanning equipment and/or automated dispensing systems to ensure prescription accuracy.
  • Provide patient assistance during prescription pick-up, verifying and entering patient information into the TaSCO system.
  • Maintain the pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, and identifying shrink and damages.
  • Assist pharmacists in the prescription fulfillment process, processing third-party insurance claims and/or rejections, and completing, maintaining, and securing paperwork, forms, and other required documentation.
  • Provide patient/member service in the pharmacy area, acknowledging the member, identifying member needs, and resolving member issues and concerns.
Requirements
  • Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
