Job Summary

DSJ Global is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the safety, quality, and productivity of our manufacturing operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly production staff, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including receiving, material handling, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping, to ensure smooth workflow for each product line.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support up to 30 hourly workers and department leads, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and facility cleanliness.
  • Staffing and Development: Assist in staffing decisions, including hiring for open positions and managing temporary staff. Provide coaching and development opportunities to build high-performing teams.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide guidance to technicians and operators. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to resolve problems.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide feedback on shift trends. Implement cost reduction strategies as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other shift supervisors and the operations manager on a daily basis. Conduct weekly shift meetings and attend weekly production meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate or bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead up to 30 hourly employees, including department leads. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment with mechanical aptitude.
