Job Overview

Position Summary:

Axiom Path is seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our technology framework. As a prominent provider of benchmarks and analytics to various sectors, our organization recognizes the importance of a robust technical infrastructure in achieving our objectives. The Cybersecurity and Systems Administrator will play a pivotal role in implementing and sustaining systems and tools that bolster our cybersecurity and compliance initiatives. This position entails the upkeep and oversight of network devices, server hardware, and cloud services, ensuring that critical systems maintain optimal uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and managing industry-standard security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus software, data loss prevention, email security, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Ensuring that all network, server, and security systems are regularly updated, patched, and configured according to current security protocols and best practices.
  • Monitoring security alerts for unusual activities and addressing issues based on their severity, while escalating critical matters to senior management.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, policies, and procedures relevant to the role's responsibilities.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Director of Information Technology and other leadership to establish effective security and compliance strategies.
  • Managing relationships with key IT vendors and partners to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Regularly assessing cybersecurity risks and developing mitigation strategies with input from essential stakeholders.
  • Pursuing ongoing professional development to enhance technical expertise and stay informed about the latest security trends and threats.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in managing IT security systems and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, CISM, etc.
  • Extensive experience with Office365 and Azure environments.
  • Strong background in networking and Windows server management.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Thorough understanding of widely accepted cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001/2, SOC2, etc.) and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with both technical and non-technical personnel.

This is a full-time position with minimal travel requirements.
