Job Title: Bureau of Prisons Contract Specialist

The Point Comfort Group is seeking a highly skilled Bureau of Prisons Contract Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare contracting team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a diverse network of qualified medical providers at optimal costs in our target locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and market to hospitals and providers in specific geographic locations, initiating cold calls and follow-up calls as necessary.
  • Develop a customized provider network with a large diversity of medical specialties driven by the unique needs of each BOP facility.
  • Work directly with provider contracting departments to negotiate and issue provider letters of agreement (pre-award) and provider contracts (post-award).
  • Support RFPs/RFQs by gathering required information from providers.
  • Assist in the formulation and coordination of bid proposals.
  • Effectively interact with and present information regarding contract services to healthcare administrators, physicians, and executives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of healthcare provider relations experience.
  • A proven track record of negotiating provider contracts, contracting options, and contract terms.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement structures.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in contracting with correctional institutions.
