Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Instructor to join our team at Minnetonka Aquatics. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to children and adults, helping them develop their water safety, survival, and swimming skills. You will also be responsible for ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants, communicating with parents about their children's progress, and enforcing pool policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Teach swimming lessons following Minnetonka Aquatics Learn-to-Swim skills progression to children and adults.
  • Help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their water safety, survival, and swimming skills.
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.
  • Greet visitors and provide information on pool facilities and other Minnetonka Aquatics programs.
  • Communicate with parents about their children's progress.
  • Enforce pool policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies.
  • Complete records and reports as needed.
  • Monitor facility and equipment to ensure safety.
Qualifications
  • Evidence of experience working with children.
  • Demonstrated ability to be comfortable and confident with teaching swimming lessons.
  • Demonstrated leadership and public relations skills.
  • Evidence of positive interpersonal skills; ability to relate to both children and adults.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
  • Must be at least 14 years of age.
