Job Opportunity: Behavior Interventionist

Cortica is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Interventionist to join our team of professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Implement positive behavior strategies as developed and analyzed with the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Work in various settings, including the home, community, school, clinic, or other designated locations, providing direct behavior-analytic care as determined in the child's assessment and treatment plan.
  • Document all interactions, including session notes and data collection, to ensure accurate tracking of progress and treatment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with families and supervisors to establish an environment that supports treatment and education across all settings of care.
  • Adhere to Cortica's crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and mandated reporting.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably those with autism.
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field or related field; relevant work experience or students enrolled in undergraduate studies will also be considered.
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification or willingness to obtain the BCAT credential via Cortica's training program within the first 45 days.
  • Valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in using software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.

The base direct pay range for this opening is $20.87-$28.00, with indirect pay at $17.28 per hour. Compensation will be adjusted based on relevant experience, education level, and location.
