Role Overview: The Retail Sales Associate for the Southern Region plays a crucial role in fostering relationships with both major grocery chains and independent retailers. This position requires travel and reports directly to the Regional Sales Director - East at Chosen Foods LLC. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving sales and securing orders to meet annual targets.
  • Collaborating with the Sales Director to manage promotional calendars and trade expenditures for key accounts.
  • Maintaining precise account records and providing weekly updates to the Sales Director.
  • Delivering consistent support to retail accounts through training, demonstrations, merchandising, and store events.
  • Overseeing inventory management and replenishment for strategic customers, while assisting the internal sales team with follow-ups and issues.
  • Monitoring forecasts for Key Accounts and Regional Distributors.
  • Managing broker relationships effectively.
  • Identifying and acquiring new accounts and business opportunities.
  • Expanding the product line within existing accounts.
  • Creating innovative scorecards to assess business performance and fulfill ad hoc requests from sales and leadership teams.
  • Providing actionable insights on performance, trends, and opportunities.

Essential Functions: This role focuses on:

  • Boosting Chosen Foods sales in the Southern Region, including new placements and account creation.
  • Managing broker and distributor relationships through regular communication and support.
  • Overseeing trade expense management and promotional planning.
  • Participating in industry events and trade shows to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Gathering and reporting on customer needs, competitive activities, and potential new products.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of sales experience.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong teamwork and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Flexibility in scheduling.
