Correctional Institution Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse (Registered Nurse) to join our team at the Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System. As a Correctional Institution Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care services to inmates in a correctional institution setting.
Job Summary:
- Provide direct patient care services in accordance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards.
- Assess and identify high-risk symptoms/behaviors in patients, including suicidal risk, homicidal risk, and risk for verbal and/or physical abuse.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans, including monitoring, evaluating, and revising as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A graduate or higher level degree in professional nursing from an accredited educational program.
- A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- At least one year of professional nursing experience, preferably in a correctional institution or similar setting.
