Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at Next Level Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various tasks related to automation and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company policies and proactively addressing unsafe behaviors or conditions.
  • Collaborate with operators, engineers, and external consultants on maintenance issues and projects, including identifying necessary hardware and software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and train users on PLCs, robotic controls, automated equipment, and instrumentation systems.
  • Adapt existing programs to meet user needs, including databases and PLC software.
  • Deliver quality products and services while following safety and quality control procedures.
  • Manage capital and expense projects as needed.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation technology preferred.
  • Minimum three years in industrial controls; familiarity with analog/digital instrument control and automated machinery.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; conflict resolution; project and time management expertise.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to build professional trust within a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible working hours, including potential weekends and overtime.
  • Ability to respond to urgent situations outside normal hours.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in various plant environments with appropriate PPE.
