Piano Instructor Position at Musicians Playground

Musicians Playground, a leading music education center in downtown Boston, is seeking a highly skilled and passionate piano instructor to join our team. As a piano instructor at Musicians Playground, you will have the opportunity to teach adults and children in a state-of-the-art studio, equipped with top-of-the-line instruments and technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach piano lessons to adults and children in private and group settings
  • Client scheduling, communications, and support
  • Attend meetings with staff as needed
  • Check communication channels daily and respond in a timely manner
  • Co-lead music-based team-building events
  • Assist with preparing and overseeing special events
  • Assist in social media and curriculum development initiatives
  • Arrange music for clients and staff as needed
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree from a leading music institution (within 6 months of graduation or already graduated)
  • Ability to play classical music at an advanced level and various contemporary genres
  • Previous teaching experience in private and group settings
  • Passion for coaching children ages 5 and up
  • Love and experience working with hobbyists
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate ($40-$50 for group classes and team-building events, $30-$40 for private and semi-private lessons, $15-$20 for administrative tasks and training)
  • Option to teach up to 5 clients procured independently at no cost during off-peak hours
