We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Test and Evaluation Lead to support our Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) test and evaluation activities in coordination with the Army Evaluation Center.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development of testing tools and methodologies, and coordinate with testing organizations throughout the T&E lifecycle, inclusive of data authentication groups.
- Develop comprehensive test plans that outline objectives, methods, resources, and schedules for evaluating prototypes.
- Design and review detailed procedures for conducting tests, including defining test scenarios, conditions, and metrics for performance evaluation.
- Coordinate testing activities, ensuring all necessary resources, equipment, and personnel are available and properly coordinated.
- Supervise the collection of test data, analyze results, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Identify and document any problems, deficiencies, or areas for improvement in prototypes during testing.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of test results, providing clear and concise feedback to development teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Identify potential risks associated with prototypes and their testing, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Implement lessons learned from testing to improve future test plans, procedures, and prototype designs.
- Communicate test results, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and clients.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on test and evaluation methodologies and best practices.
- Ensure prototypes integrate well with other systems and perform effectively in various operational environments.
- Oversee field tests to evaluate prototypes' performance in real-world conditions, including their durability, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
- 6+ years T&E experience, which can be a combination of contractor assignments and applicable military experience.
- Progressively complex experience in testing and integration of Human Machine Integrated systems, especially related to tactical systems.
- Expertise in developing and applying measures of performance and effectiveness.
- Familiarity with the use of databases and automated tools for evaluation, analytical, and verification support.
- Familiarity with T&E policies and procedures in support of DoD 5000 Acquisition.
- Travel: 5-10%.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work.
Bachelor of Science in a technical or relevant field from an accredited university; an additional 4 years of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
Desired Skills- Hands-on integration and testing of vehicles, robotic systems, and C5ISR systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on multi-functional teams.
