VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled physician to serve as our Statewide Medical Director. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare in correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote high-quality patient care through effective supervision of clinical services.
- Collaborate with community medical providers to address service delivery challenges.
- Sustain a culture of excellence in clinical services among professional and paraprofessional staff.
- Ensure timely on-call coverage and develop emergency response plans.
- Oversee annual reviews and updates of clinical protocols, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Optimize referrals to external healthcare facilities for seamless patient care.
- Nurture growth opportunities for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners under state regulations.
- Provide expert guidance to staff physicians and clinical teams.
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure to practice medicine in the state where employed.
- Active DEA Registration.
- Board Certification advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
- A collaborative mindset, fostering teamwork and open communication within the organization.
We offer a competitive salary range of $230,000 - $280,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
