We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in St. Gabriel, LA. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining machinery and equipment in industrial establishments.
Key Responsibilities- Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Dismantles machines and moves machinery and equipment
- Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines, and blowers
- Aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method
- May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
- May repair and lubricate machines and equipment
- May be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates
- Remove plant equipment, disassemble, repair, and reinstall
- High school or equivalent
- One to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
- NCCER certification may be required for some job sites
- Written pre-employment qualification test
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client
- Safety equipment as required by the client
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
- Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience
