HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Saint Gabriel, LA is looking for a HydroBlaster/Field Technicians to work at various customer locations, and to join their safety conscious team This team member is responsible for the successful execution of setting up and assisting with water treatment systems, pipeline hydrostatic testing and various other responsibilities. The HydroBlaster/Field Technician serves as representative of HPC-Industrial in creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers.  Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Industrial setting – Refinery, Petro-Chemical, Utilities, Pulp and Paper Mills, etc.POSITION LOCATED IN: Saint Gabriel, LAWORK SCHEDULE: On Call- 24/7 (days and/or nights), unless with approved time offTRAVEL: Less than 10%

Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen/hair follicle to be considered
Must have valid TWIC card

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times; 
  • Hands-on operation of manual and automated Hydroblasting equipment; 
  • Operation of special equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps; 
  • Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and/or any specialized Hydroblasting and/or Chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment being used on the job; 
  • May be required to examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations; 
  • Conduct routine and required maintenance on the unit and all peripherals, including industrial vacuuming equipment and the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials; 
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job; 
  • Additional duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period;
  • Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+ degrees Fahrenheit, 98% humidity and subzero weather conditions) relative to geographic location; 
  • Must be able to engage in strenuous physical labor including walking, climbing, lifting, stretching, pulling & pushing heavy objects;
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces;
  • Must be able to work in loud work environments; 
  • Must possess strong reading and writing skills;
  • Must be able to wear a respirator, required;
  • Must be able to work shift work – no set schedule (days and/or nights)
  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs; 
  • Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations; 
  • Valid driver license and other requirements of company’s driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business; 
  • OSHA certification may be required for this job; 
  • Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers; 
  • May have to provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

  • Valid Driver’s License, required (physical copy); 
  • Valid Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC), required (physical copy).
