About the Role:
Our Lady of Grace Catholic School is in search of a passionate Elementary Grades educator who is committed to addressing student needs and thrives in a Catholic educational setting. Established in 1953, OLG emphasizes the development of each child's unique talents, guiding them to become intentional disciples and servant leaders.
To succeed in this position, candidates should:
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans for core subjects tailored to third-grade standards while accommodating diverse learning styles
- Serve as the Third Grade Homeroom Instructor
- Embodiment of Catholic/Christian values and lifestyle
- Exhibit qualities of optimism, adaptability, patience, and collaboration
- Possess excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Demonstrate a history of effective engagement with students and families; experience in special education is advantageous
- Contribute to the school's mission through participation in committees, support of student activities, and other responsibilities
- Hold a relevant degree and NC Teacher certification (or comply with diocesan standards if certification is not from NC)
- Actively support students' academic and behavioral objectives through various responsibilities
Additional Considerations:
Applicants should have a proven background in working with children in educational or related fields. A resume, cover letter, and three references from supervisors are required. Candidates must be prepared for a criminal background check as part of the hiring process.
