Job Title: Boiler Operator

SJS Executives, LLC is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Boiler Operator to join our team in New London, CT. As a Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment ranging from hot water tanks to power boilers and complex heating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boilers, heating systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Inspect and test systems for malfunctions, and adjust thermostats, switches, regulators, and other safety devices as needed.
  • Replace defective parts, including burners, pilots, valves, motors, and piping.
  • Service units by cleaning filters, strainers, and orifices, and adjusting dampers.
  • Remove soot and fly ash from tubes, chamber ducts, chimneys, and breaching.

Requirements:

  • Valid Secret Clearance.
  • Valid state Driver's license.
  • Working knowledge of combustion, heat transfer, fuel characteristics, and boiler operation.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electromechanical, and pneumatic principles.
  • Ability to apply broad skill and knowledge to a wide range of boilers and heating systems.

  • Hourly wage: $35.15-$40.40.
