Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule patients for appointments in all clinical departments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of patient information.
- Front Office Operations: Expedite patient flow through the clinic front office by verifying patient information, checking in patients, and ensuring records are available to staff.
- Insurance and Financial Management: Determine insurance coverage and financial qualifications for discount programs, update patient information in computer systems, and plan, organize, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, handle difficult situations with tact and respect, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance agencies.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, document management, and cash handling.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology and business studies preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: EPIC certification required for the module assigned.
- Experience: One year of experience in customer service, medical reception, or scheduling in a medical setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems, telephone skills, and ability to calculate figures and amounts.
- Interpersonal Skills: Bilingual-English/Spanish preferred; excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
