Radiologic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Dependable Staffing Agency CA. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiological services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and process X-ray exposures to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
- Comply with all exam protocols established by the Department of Correction's Diagnostic Imaging department.
- Consult with radiologists or medical providers when necessary for clarification.
- Provide emergency medical support to medical providers in the event of an allergic reaction or medical emergency.
- Utilize proper identification markers and technique for exam orders.
- Perform and assist medical providers with special procedures, such as routine fluoro, drainage procedures, biopsies, and myelograms.
- Perform general diagnostic radiographic work and processing of digital images in conjunction with RIS/PACS.
- Ensure patient safety and proper labeling of digital images before they are electronically viewed by radiologists.
- Review digital X-ray images for proper positioning and image clarity.
- Respond to emergency room and bedside radiographic examinations.
- Coordinate maintenance of X-ray machines to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Perform radiographic examinations that require with and without contrast media in the radiology room and procedure room.
- Maintain radiology records within RIS/PACS in accordance with departmental policy and in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Twelve continuous months of experience within the last three years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein in a public or private institution.
- Possess and maintain current certification in good standing from the State of California, Department of Health Services for Radiological Technology as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
- Ensure each CRT possesses and maintains a current and valid license and possesses other modality coverage licenses, such as mammogram, CT/MRI, etc., as applicable to do business in the State of California.
- Each Temporary/Relief Radiologic Technologist shall be in compliance with 8 CCR 5199 standards for current N95 and Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) medical clearance and annual general respiratory protection training.
- Temporary/Relief Radiologic Technologists providing services through this Agreement must be proficient in the English language and able to communicate effectively with the Department of Corrections.
