Job Overview

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Palm Beach County, delivering high-quality care to patients across the region. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist PT, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides critical respiratory care services to patients with diverse needs.

About the Role

This position involves providing a wide range of treatment options for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, including oxygen therapy and ventilator management. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans, ensuring seamless patient care transitions and outcomes.

  • You will deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care, incorporating routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures as needed.

    • You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment, leveraging advanced knowledge of respiratory physiology and pathophysiology.

      • You will perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.

      Qualifications and Skills
      • State Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
      • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
      • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire
      • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of hire
      • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 30 days of hire
