Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Cardiology department, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families. You will work closely with our physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:

Escort patients from the waiting area to the exam room and document their brief history and vital signs.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician, including administering immunizations and medications.
Schedule patients for procedures, diagnostic testing, or specialists as directed by the physician.
Prepare specimens for outside lab testing and relay laboratory and x-ray results to patients as directed by the physician.
Provide follow-up care by telephoning patients to check on their condition.

Requirements:

High school degree or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited LPN nursing program.
Current State of Florida licensure or registration as a LPN.
BLS/CPR certification is required.
