Job Summary

VECA Electric & Technologies is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Western State Hospital in Lakewood, WA. As a key member of our project management team, you will assist the Project Manager in the completion of all aspects of assigned projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in tracking, auditing, and reporting on daily project activity, including cost controls, schedule compliance, productivity, quality scope definition, and scope additions/deletions.
  • Create, submit, and track change orders under the direction of the Project Manager.
  • Perform project setup duties as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining records and reports essential to the effective operation of ongoing projects and assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Produce project-based reports internally and externally.
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing the coordination of project scope with the Project Team, Operations Department, and the Purchasing Department to achieve maximum efficiency and cost management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction industry or a degree in a construction-related field.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite, Bluebeam, and Construction Management Programs (Procore, Autodesk, Raken, etc.).
  • Must have strong leadership skills, strong oral communication skills, active listening skills, and excellent writing skills.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with a variety of personalities.
  • A self-starter who will work proactively with the Project Manager and team.
