About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of laboratory results and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician required.
  • Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician required within one year of hire date.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate of $31.75 per hour.
  • Full-time position with 80 hours every 2 weeks.
  • Evening/Night Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday to Friday, with every 3rd weekend and holiday.
  • Sign-on bonus of $10,000 with a 2-year commitment.
  • Options for free health insurance and student loan repayment program.
