$15,000 sign–on bonus
Position Highlights: May be eligible for $15,000 sign–on bonus with a 3–year commitment Paid Time Off (PTO) available on Day 1 Options for Free Health Insurance Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Job Summary The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is accountable for performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic and bacteriologic procedures following established standards and practices. Data is used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera co–sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist and one or two years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience/training acceptable to ASCP or AMT. New grads acceptable. Licensure/Certification/Registration Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from ASCP or AMT required within one year of hire. Work Schedule Evening/Night Shift: 3:00pm–11:30pm, every 3 rd weekend, every 3 rd holiday; 80 hours every 2 weeks Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $27.50 – $41.50 per hour
