EDF Renewables North America is seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to oversee the maintenance teams on our wind turbine sites. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the maintenance activities of the site team, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily safety walks, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Review and approve work requests, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with the regional operations manager to develop and implement site-specific maintenance plans.
- Provide training and guidance to site team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of wind industry best practices, general maintenance standards, and condition-based monitoring systems.
- Ability to work well with subcontracted construction personnel and resolve issues in the field.
- Basic understanding of power generation equipment and operational performance metrics.
- OSHA 10 training and knowledge of electrical code and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Site Supervisor will work primarily on-site at our wind turbine locations, with occasional travel to the office or other sites as needed. The position requires the ability to work at heights, including climbing up and descending towers, and to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
