At VetJobs, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Wendell, NC. This role will be based in our Wendell office and will involve working on Medium Voltage switchgear projects.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base software. They will also have a strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for MV Switchgear.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements to develop detail design engineering essential for review and manufacture of switchgears. They will also prepare electrical drawing packages for factory manufacturing of the switchgear and customer documentation using CAD software.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work in a culture of quality. They will also have a strong ability to create, convert, and modify drawings with AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer requirements to develop detail design engineering essential for review and manufacture of switchgears.
  • Prepare electrical drawing packages for factory manufacturing of the switchgear and customer documentation using CAD software.
  • Work directly with project engineers with support and guidance from experienced mentors to create product solutions meeting customers' expectations in cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Initiate and support product as well as process improvements by cross-team collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base software.
  • Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for MV Switchgear.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work in a culture of quality.
  • Strong ability to create, convert, and modify drawings with AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing complex assignments, workload prioritization, and management of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with electrical design for medium voltage switchgear.
