Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing professional patient care and assisting cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and radiologists in performing cardiac diagnostic, interventional, and invasive radiology procedures. The successful candidate will utilize the patient care process to ensure safe and competent quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in all procedures performed in the invasive cardiology area
  • Support the medical care of patients requiring cardiac or peripheral catheterization and/or intervention
  • Utilize patient care process to ensure safe and competent quality patient care
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiological Sciences or Allied Health Science program
  • Minimum of one to three years experience with Cardiac Catheterization procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Cardiac Anatomy and EKG rhythms
  • Medical Radiologist Technologist (MRT) certification through Texas Medical Board and American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Registry from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS) or (RCES)
  • BLS for Healthcare Worker certification
  • ACLS certification for adult patients and PALS and ACLS certification for pediatric patients within 90 days of employment
