Position Overview

SOSi is in search of skilled Language-Enabled Targeters to deliver open-source intelligence (OSINT) and comprehensive research in alignment with client goals and contracts. Ideal candidates may originate from various targeting backgrounds. This role demands meticulousness, adaptability, and a commitment to staying abreast of the rapidly evolving landscape of the internet and social media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform OSINT investigations to bolster all-source evaluations. Compile research outcomes into well-sourced reports.
  • Integrate and synthesize information from diverse sources to derive comprehensive insights.
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge and proficiency in social media analysis and its applications.
  • Employ language or technical expertise regularly to facilitate research and analysis.
  • Identify and catalog primary sources and social media platforms relevant to the area of responsibility. Track prioritized sources, pinpoint significant events and entities for analysis, and discover potential new data sources.
Basic Qualifications
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Between twelve to fifteen years of experience within the intelligence community.
  • A minimum of four years in targeting or open-source exploitation; ten years or more is preferred.
  • Proficient in prioritized languages, such as Chinese and Russian, with evidence of language capability through standardized testing (minimum ILR 2+ for reading and listening) or relevant work experience. Additional languages may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Experience or technical targeting skills may substitute for language proficiency in certain instances.
  • Ability to distill foreign language content into English and contextualize findings within research summaries.
  • Demonstrated excellence in both written and verbal communication, including presentations for client stakeholders.
  • Competence in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Capability to operate independently with minimal supervision while contributing to collaborative outputs and team efforts.
  • Exceptional time-management abilities, including the capacity to adapt to urgent tasks while progressing on long-term projects.
  • Willingness to learn complex workflows and identify opportunities for process enhancement. A commitment to documenting and sharing insights with the team is essential.
  • Openness to acquiring new knowledge and adapting to various subject matters to support team and client objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in analyzing content from social media platforms, including utilizing API calls for data collection.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python to aid in social media and OSINT analysis.
  • Background in network penetration testing, use of Kali Linux open-source tools, and IT certifications like Security+ are advantageous but not mandatory.
Work Environment
  • Travel between local worksites may be necessary.
  • Standard office conditions apply, with potential requirements to lift or move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional non-traditional hours, including consecutive nights or weekends, may be required.
