Position Overview

SOSi is in search of Language-Enabled Targeters who will engage in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and comprehensive research to support various client initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform OSINT investigations to bolster all-source evaluations. Compile and present research results in well-sourced reports.
  • Integrate and synthesize information from various sources to derive comprehensive insights.
  • Enhance and apply advanced knowledge and skills in social media analysis and exploitation.
  • Leverage language or technical expertise regularly to facilitate research and analytical tasks.
  • Identify and catalog the primary sources and social media platforms relevant to the area of responsibility. Monitor prioritized sources, pinpoint significant events and entities for research and analysis, and explore potential new data sources.
Basic Qualifications
  • Possession of an active in-scope TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Between twelve to fifteen years of experience within the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • A minimum of four years of experience in targeting or open-source exploitation; ten years or more is preferred.
  • Proficient in prioritized languages, including Chinese and Russian, with evidence of language capability validated by standardized testing scores (minimum ILR 2+ for reading and listening) or relevant work experience. Additional languages may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Experience or technical targeting skills may substitute for language proficiency in certain situations.
  • Ability to translate foreign language materials into English and contextualize findings within research summaries.
  • Demonstrated excellence in both written and verbal communication, including delivering briefings to client management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while contributing to team efforts.
  • Exceptional time-management skills, including the ability to adapt to urgent tasks while progressing on long-term projects.
  • Willingness to learn complex workflows and identify opportunities for process enhancement. Ability to document and share insights with the team.
  • Openness to acquiring new subject matter knowledge and accounts to meet client and team objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in analyzing content from social media platforms, including utilizing API calls for data collection.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python to assist in social media and OSINT analysis.
  • Background in network penetration testing, use of Kali Linux open-source tools, and IT certifications like Security+ are beneficial but not essential.
Work Environment
  • Travel between local worksites may be necessary.
  • Standard office conditions with potential requirements to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional non-traditional working hours, including consecutive nights or weekends, may be required.
