We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Climbing Wall Attendant to join our team at Florence County, SC. As a key member of our recreation team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable climbing experience for our participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor climbing activity to ensure safety policies are being adhered to and provide guidance on proper safety practices and techniques.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for staff and participants.
  • Assist with hosting group climbing events and provide information on climbing wall programs and routes.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the climbing wall, equipment, and surrounding area to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Assist with setting up and taking down climbing wall ropes and anchor systems, as well as facilitating instructional belay/climbing classes.
  • Supervise non-climbers to ensure their safety around the climbing wall and maintain a clean and safe environment within the climbing wall area and storage room.

Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Climbing and belaying experience preferred.
  • Awareness of safety concerns and risk management involved with climbing.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass CPR/AED/First Aid certification course.

Working Environment:

This is a part-time position that requires a flexible schedule and ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be a team player who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe climbing experience for all participants.
