Job Overview:

Position Summary

The Environmental Sustainability Specialist plays a vital role in advancing projects, processes, and initiatives within the Corporate Sustainability and Community Engagement department.

Core Responsibilities

  • Gain foundational knowledge of reporting frameworks and standards (GRI, SASB, CDP, ISSB) relevant to the organization.
  • Support the collection of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data.
  • Assist in completing questionnaires from rating agencies.
  • Collaborate with various business units to finalize internal and external ESG communications and to address supply chain inquiries.
  • Leverage ESG software to aggregate and analyze data.
  • Contribute to the creation and dissemination of the annual Corporate Responsibility Report.
  • Monitor current and forthcoming laws and regulations both domestically and internationally.
  • Help coordinate community service initiatives at operational sites, working alongside location managers to align with ESG objectives.
  • Provide administrative support for community giving requests and ensure compliance with company and foundation procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required (or equivalent work experience), preferably in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or Safety.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Sustainability/ESG regulations and Scope 1, 2, & 3 GHG emissions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer.
  • Occasional representation of the company at community events, which may require evening and weekend availability.
