Sustainability/ES&G Specialist

Position Overview
The Sustainability/ES&G Specialist is responsible for supporting projects, processes and programs for the Corporate Sustainability and Community Relations department.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a basic understanding of reporting frameworks and standards (GRI, SASB, CDP, ISSB) as it relates to the company
Assist in the gathering of Scope 1, 2 and 3 data
Assist in the completion of rating agency questionnaires
Partner with business units to complete internal and external ESG communications and to complete supply chain questionnaires
Utilize the ESG software to compile data
Assist in the development and publication of the annual Corporate Responsibility Review
Review current and upcoming laws and regulations foreign and domestic
Assist with coordinating company service events at Andersons operating locations, in conjunction with location managers, in support of ESG goals
Provide processing support for community giving requests and related administrative tasks to comply with company and foundation procedures and due diligence requirements

Knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts gained through education and/or experience
Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
Receives instruction, guidance and direction
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree required (or the equivalent in work experience) preferably in Sustainability, Environmental, or Safety
1-3 years’ relevant experience required
Basic understanding of Sustainability/ESG regulations and Scope 1, 2, & 3 GHG emissions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Required to represent the company at various community events as requested that may involve evenings and weekends
