Job Overview
**Position Purpose:** Under direct supervision, the role involves performing tasks of moderate difficulty and responsibility in food services, housekeeping, and maintenance operations; engages in related duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
In the realm of Food Services Operations:
1. Prepares the assigned station with necessary items prior to meal service; ensures cleanliness before food preparation begins.
2. Assembles meals on trays for patients based on menu cards or specific dietary requirements.
3. Distributes trays to patients and retrieves soiled trays for return to the kitchen.
4. Participates in daily menu discussions and cafeteria or dining room operations, including organizing the serving area and resetting tables.
5. Aids in cooking tasks and prepares patients' between-meal snacks and cold dishes (e.g., salads, sandwiches, desserts) following oral or written guidelines; reheats hot foods in the microwave.
Essential Qualifications:
Ability to read and write in English and to comprehend and execute simple instructions. A High School Diploma or GED is required.
