About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Consultant to join our team at Stockman Kast Ryan + Co. As a Tax Consultant, you will play a critical role in preparing detailed working papers and tax returns for review by Senior Tax Consultants, Managers, and Partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare amended returns of any variety and complexity.
  • Possess and continue to develop knowledge of tax regulations with regards to answering client's questions.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of depreciation, depreciation software, and be effective in reading and understanding depreciation reports.
  • Expand knowledge of tax issues related to corporations, partnerships, and individuals and possible other specialized fields.
  • Work with confidential client matters and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting (concentration in Tax a plus).
  • Colorado CPA license, or actively pursuing certification.
  • Minimum 1-3 years progressive experience in public accounting working on partnerships, corporations, and individual tax returns.
  • Internship with CPA firm, preferably in the tax department.
