Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a healthcare environment.
- State licensure is required.
- Successful completion of the licensure examination through the State Social Worker and Counselor Board.
Your Responsibilities:
As the Head of Social Services, you will:
- Oversee all social and psycho-social functions within the facility.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with caregivers to ensure comprehensive support for residents’ psychosocial well-being.
- Provide counseling to family members, residents, and staff.
- Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring their needs are met in collaboration with care staff.
