Key Responsibilities- Administer nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Instruct patients and their families on procedures, healthcare practices, and continuing care after discharge, ensuring a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner adhering to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as professional practice standards and relevant laws and regulations.
- Qualify to perform nursing interventions, including the administration of moderate sedation, and monitor patient responses and provide necessary physiological support during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge and technical skills necessary for providing competent, comprehensive, and age-specific patient care.
- Exhibit leadership abilities, including the ability to give and follow instructions accurately and delegate and supervise non-licensed personnel.
- Serve as a professional role model for others, promoting a culture of excellence and respect within the healthcare team.
- Utilize computer and keyboarding skills to provide a complete and accurate electronic medical record.
- Deliver care and service appropriate to patients and their families, demonstrating competence in technical skills performed.
- Apply critical thinking skills and prioritize care needs, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Comply with direction from Charge RN for patient activity and care, maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
- Exhibit effective organizational skills, utilizing time and resources efficiently to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
