Electronics Systems Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Systems Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining complex electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and configure system-level controller software
- Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices
- Keep management and customers informed of job progress and issues
- Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
- Complete administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
- Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation
- Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site
- Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions
Requirements:
- Vocational School or Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field, plus three years of industry experience or one year of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
- Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
- Leadership skills to support Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site
- PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC-related software
