Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for Adult Mental Health Services

Tandym Group is seeking a compassionate and patient-oriented Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their staff in Manhattan.

Responsibilities:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession. They will collaborate with the staff psychiatrist, nursing staff, technical personnel, counselors, and outside providers to enhance better outcomes and care coordination.
- Provide psychiatric health services, education, individual and group counseling, and assessment primarily onsite but through Telemental Health when indicated.
- Refer patients for inpatient care, in collaboration with the staff psychiatrist, as necessary.
- Issue medication prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines.
- Administer injectable medications as clinically indicated.
- Order laboratory tests; interpret and explain test results to patients.
- Communicate with patients and engage in follow-up as necessary.
- Active New York State Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license.
- 5+ years' experience as a licensed practicing NPP.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders, including dually diagnosed and harm reduction.
- Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment, including Methadone, Buprenorphine, and Vivitrol.
- Experience working with adults across age ranges, including ages 18 to 100+
- Comprehensive understanding of regulations and compliance requirements for documentation.
We offer an estimated salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
